UK Tour - Part 3 - Christmas
Wow, finally we arrived at Granny G'Ann'T's house after an epic sleep... er I mean drive, through a foggy England. Granny had given up her bedroom for the old folks and me, which was really cool because it has an awesome en suite. Of course it does, Daddy designed it that way!!

Naturally, Granny was pleased to see all of us. Uncle Tim and his gang -auntie V and Olive- flew in from HK the next day and he gave us the motivation to make it to Midnight Mass. It was a High Anglican service in a half-empty really old church. They were making smoke bombs and wearing white gowns. I thought they were going to sacrifice a sheep or a young virgin, but instead Papa went and had a swig of the pretend blood and we all went home to bed.
In the morning we all got up and opened presents. My cousin Olive was great and made Christmas totally enjoyable. Her Mummy got a super twinkly ring and was delighted - after that I sensed just a bit of tension between my Mummy and Daddy.
.
Later that day, the Beattys, some really close family friends, came over and I got another cool (and noisy) toy. The grown-ups all ate and drank way too much and before you could say "Only Fools and Horses Christmas Special re-run" there was a small squadron of fat bellies snoring in front of the telly.
.
On Boxing Day The Beattys hosted the return leg and we all piled over to their house. I sported my achingly hip new BABiPod top from uncle Rob -I'm so fly, I think I need to lie down!
The only problem with this top is Papa kept pressing my tummy to try and make me pause. Fool, my batteries were simply in need of a recharge... again... zzzzzzzzzzz...

How Guud is this?

Once again, the olds dragged me out in my slumber to the legendary Guu Otokame. The bestest izakaya joint in town... supposedly. Whether this is true or not is up to you to decide for yourself, but the restaurant did manage to convert my non-believer Granny G'Ann'T. I think she actually enjoyed it. As usual I was shoved in the corner in my car seat. Hmmm not sure about that. I suppose it is to be expected while I still have no teeth and no etiquette training.

However, I did manage to get myself some grub too; thanks Mama. mmmmmmmmmmmm... but mostly I kept schtum -"a kid should be seen and not heard!"- and bided my time with just a couple of yelps and squirms. Guys you owe me big time!!

...back at the ranch and it was all cuddles (and food time)...

and washed down with Papa's galactically gigantic gin and tonics...
...well fancy that! guzzzling a giant G and T with Granny G'Ann'T. Look at that! It's half the size of Granny. Unfortunately, Granny G'Ann'T had to go back home. ho hum. I'll see her at Christmas too. In the meantime, my aim is to stay cool...

...my future's so bright, I gotta wear Daddy's shades.
yeah man. Peace.

Make Mine a G' ann 'T
No sooner did Lola Mila leave than Granny G'n'T arrived. How cool to be the baby baton in the grandmother relay race? I hope it never ends. Here is where I met Granny G'n'T for the first time.Yesterday we woke up, the sun was shining, the cats were whining, Steve and Joanne -loverbird hosts of the wine oysters in the sky party- came over with their nuclear fallout hangovers so we had Daddy's world famous bacsilog to try and cure them. My Daddy has such healing hands and a big frying pan.
Afterwards everyone felt so fat they decided to take me out for a spin in ma wheels. We hit G-g-g-g-g-g-Granville Island and swung round to Vanier Park. Here's Mama and Granny G'n'T pushing me onwards at the end of False Creek. That's Burrard Bridge in the background. As we walked we saw a crowd gathered round a tree. They didn't have Birkenstocks or beards, nor were they hugging anything, so we figured something must be up. Sure enough up in the tree was a pair of bald eagles just hanging about pruning and preening themselves; hustling their crowd of onlookers. Papa got quite a good photo of one of them.
... that was great, but Papa says we have lots of bald eagles around town, especially down by the trees near the beach. So after that we went home...
...and tucked into some real G and T!!! Well I didn't, obviously. But they, the oldies and the golden oldies, did. In fact they had so much Number 10 is more like number 5 now.
Wow! You should have heard them snoring that load off. Except MamaSam and me, of course.

Time for bed again so I must sign off....

...may your limes be juicy and your tonic water fizzy.

bye for now, Missy Maya D-T
