UK Tour - Part 1 - my first big performance

I am pleased to annouce that despite everything that was thrown at us from broken aeroplanes and crappy car hire, I was good as gold on the way to Yookay to see my Lola and Granny and a zillion other peeps and luvvies.
We arrived at Tita Jules and Tito Rob's swanky pad in the very big city of London and were all chuffed to see two of my godparents-to-be waiting to meet us, even though we were really late. Judging by their slurring (and stinky breath) I think Mama and Papa got into to the spirit of things right from the moment they walked through the door!!!

Early the following morning we headed out of London to Lola Mila's, which took us into the beautiful English countryside, which was covered in crisp, clear winter sunshine. It was great to see Lola Mila again and catch up. The next day was my Christening. Apparently I gave the perfect performance, so everyone gave me loads of great gifts. Naturallly my favourite was the champagne ...dahling!!
Lola Mila had planned a party and made me a cake. Here it is... ...can you believe it, it was part of Mama & Papa's wedding cake!!! I felt very special. Tita Jules looked after me really well all afternoon (Check out Tita Jules' blog report with photos too by clicking the link). Here's Mama, Papa and my English godparents (EJ, Sophie, Mama, Papa, James).
...and Mama's cousin Tom (he was also really sweet to me) and Dick...
...and never forgetting of course Lola Mila and me playing.
Yay Lola, and thanks for my great Christening and party. All that socialising and champagne made me quite tired...

...so I squeezed forty winks in my new snuggly cow bed.

Mooo!

Lola Mila
As you may or may not know, my Lola was staying with us for a bit. I don't know how long it was exactly, as I'm not very good at judging the concept of time yet. I just know it was long enough for us to bond really well. Here is my Lola Mila and me chatting on the sofa..
...and chilling on the sofa...

...and of course sleeping sometimes. We did loads of other things too, like eating at fine restaurants, walking to fine restaurants, bathing after being at fine restaurants, a little bit of shopping and even a party or two.

We enjoyed being with each other so much we hatched a plan for us run away to the UK. I don't know if you remember, but it was so cunning, you could pin a tail on it and call it a fox. Somehow Mummy and Daddy must have found out about Lola Mila's plan as they came with us to the aeroport to scupper any chance of sneaking off. I think Lola forgot the bottles of milk too.

Ho hum, so it didn't work out this time, but there is always next time.

It was sad saying goodbye to Lola, but I'll get to see her soon at Christmas when the folks take me to Blighty to see my cousins. Maybe we can plot something then.

thanks for coming to stay Lola. I love you,

Leaping Prawns and Leprechauns

Here in Vancouver, there are many peoples from around the world, especially Asia. The oceans around here are abundant with seafood and fresh Alberta beef is just four mountain ranges away. This combination makes for some great dining, be it steak oscar, Izakaya, Korean BBQ, big BC burgers, super fresh sushi and sashimi, fifty-five flavours of Pho or 101 PinPin pork dishes....

...oooooooooooooohh I can't wait to get me teef. So it was the olds took us all to Guu Otokame, a cool Izakaya joint in touristy Gastown. It was Tita Linda's birthday and Lola Mila's treat; but everyone enjoyed it. Apparently it is the black cod that it is to die for. The greedies (me not included) ordered it at least 78 times. The seared sashimi salad was obviously another hit. Can you believe it they even had prawns that were so raw they leapt about on the plate, nearly? wow.In fact, Lola Mila loved it so much we went to Guu with Garlic the next week with Amori and her folks. Amori took this wicked photo of us all watching the leaping prawn; honest. Ok so the greedy olds were just ordering more fud.

You may have suspected already, but I think the leaping prawns must have given Daddy an idea or something. First Mama dressed me up, then Papa decides I looked like a leprechaun. As you all know, he full of 'interesting' ideas. Actually I just think he's as daft as a stoned monkey. Anyways, this is cute; apparently......Give me strength. I guess you can't always pick your parents!!!!

Thanks Louie for me tag. Gotta go now...

How to kidnap a napping kid...
...cooooooool.

My Lola arrived in town a couple of days ago. She came from a long, long way away and says we are going to run away together. It sounds really exotic where she lives; they drive backwards down the street and speak funny like Ma and Pa. My Granny lives there too, so I could have Lola and Granny spoil me rotten forever. The above picture is the historic moment of our first meeting, when the plan was hatched. I think Tita Linda is going to help us, here Tita Linda and I are scheming away on the sofa. I know it looks like I'm napping, but I'm just thinking very hard.

Originally the plan was to disguise me as Lola's pet bear, but I don't think allow bears on the aeroplane. The pink and white stripes might have aroused suspicion too...
So, in a moment of pure genius, we have changed the plan into a simpler one: it looks like the best way to achieve it is to fool the olds into thinking Lola is returning home on a different day. She will then 'look after' me straight after a feed and check in for the flight over the phone. I will then secret myself into her carry-on luggage, call a cab and make a break for it...

...so if you UKishers see me before December, you ain't seen me, right? If you you know what I mean.
